Is there a recipe for homemade icing? I have tried putting cream cheese on treats but I'm afraid to leave it out.

Cream cheese icing will need to be refrigerated. Cream cheese has a nice consistency for spreading on a dog cake, but just like you would not leave a tub of cream cheese out of the refrigerator, you cannot expect to leave it out once it is on a cake. It would be like spreading cream cheese on a bagel - the leftovers would have to be placed into the refrigerator to keep.
