Coating chips melt in the heat
by: Dog Treat Icing Expert

Coating chips contain fat and sugar. The chips have to be heated to liquefy the fat in order to spread as an icing. The fat content makes the chips appear to be solid when cooled. When exposed to a warm environment, the fat will begin to liquefy and the icing will start to "melt". We recommend using Magifrost icing that hardens and will not melt.
