Do yogurt chips dry completely?

by Estee
(Palm Springs)

When I use yogurt chips to decorate my dog treats, the icing dries all the way. But then if I stack them, it gets gooey, especially on a hot day. Why does this happen?

Candy coating chips are not really "dry" completely
by: Dog Treat Icing Expert

This is a great question and one we hear frequently.

Candy coating chips may look like the icing has dried, but in reality, what has happened is the fat in the chips simply reconstituted to a solid form at room temperature. And if a dog chews the biscuit with this icing, and drops on the carpet, it will leave a gooey mess and may stain.
