Dehydrated chicken breast strips

by Debbie

After I dehydrate chicken breast strips, I bake them for an hour. Do I need to refrigerate them afterwards? Or does that just add moisture back into the meat?

If the product is completely, dried through it would be better to store them in an airtight container, possibly with a moisture absorber. Storing them in a moist place like the fridge will indeed slowly add moisture and make bacteria growth and spoilage more likely.
